I have tried to create a behaviour in myself that allows me to paint over my work leaving a blank canvas for another work. However, with this pieces to me its a little different. Normally, “Green and Yellow” is the perfect candidate for a re-paint. The picture in my head and the still life in front of me are two completely different images and thoughts. I convinced myself that night to let it stand on its own for a time. This piece now has grown on me for really strange reasons. My abiliy to look and understand went a different direction, too. “Green and Yellow” is just one of those pivitol pieces in my mind where I feel I went to a different place.
